Dema Khafaji
Dema Khafaji is the Founder and Principal Consultant of DeMark IP and DeMark Legal Consultancy, with over a decade of experience advising and representing clients in complex intellectual property matters across the MENA region. Her practice is defined by a strategic, enforcement-driven approach to protecting and maximizing the value of intellectual assets.
Prior to founding her practice, Dema held in-house IP counsel and brand protection roles with leading global organizations, including FIFA and Johnson & Johnson. In these roles, she led large-scale IP enforcement initiatives and anti-counterfeiting campaigns, gaining first-hand experience in safeguarding globally recognized brands across multiple jurisdictions.
Her expertise spans trademarks, copyrights, and IP enforcement, with significant experience in handling complex disputes and coordinating cross-border enforcement strategies. She works closely with enforcement authorities and government bodies to deliver effective, results-oriented outcomes for her clients.
Alongside her advisory work, Dema has extensive experience in IP litigation, representing clients in contentious matters and guiding them through all stages of disputes with a clear, strategic focus.
Dema is particularly known for conducting in-depth and comprehensive IP audits that identify risks, strengthen protection frameworks, and unlock the commercial potential of intellectual property portfolios.
